State Investigates Florida Planned Parenthood Clinics

In the wake of highly publicized investigative videos involving the procurement and sale of fetal tissue from aborted fetuses by Planned Parenthood clinics in other states, Governor Rick Scott requested that the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) evaluate Florida's Planned Parenthood facilities.

In a press release announcing the investigation, the governor stated his concern for Floridians. "We hold our healthcare organizations in Florida to the highest standards of safety and we expect them to fully comply with the law at all times."

AHCA's investigation has resulted in possible violations concerning the performance of unauthorized second trimester abortions at three clinics located in Fort Myers, Naples, and St. Petersburg. The investigation is ongoing.
