Welcome to Season 2 of our podcast! We have released two episodes so far with more to come.
In our first episode, we talked with Greg Schleppenbach, associate director of pro-life activities for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. We discussed the Hyde Amendment, the Mississippi abortion case before the U.S. Supreme Court, Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship, and the Walking with Moms in Need ministry. Greg also spoke about how he came to serve the bishops in his current position.
In the second episode, Emily Schumacher-Novak, assistant director of education and outreach in the Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops joins us to discuss Civilize It: A Better Kind of Politics. Launched earlier this month, this nonpartisan initiative seeks to assist Catholics with countering polarization and division in the Church and society by following the example of the Good Samaritan, who challenges us to "become neighbors to all" (Fratelli Tutti, no. 80). "Check out the pledge and think about your call to charity, clarity, and creativity and get engaged in your community," says Schumacher-Novak.
