Catholic Days at the Capitol brought hundreds of Florida Catholics to Tallahassee this week. The event began with a legislative briefing on Tuesday afternoon, where FCCB policy experts helped participants study issues and prepare to meet with legislators. Wednesday morning began bright and early with an awards breakfast where the Bishops presented the Defensor Dignitatis Award and Thomas A. Horkan, Jr. Distinguished Catholic Leader Award to worthy recipients. The bishops concluded the breakfast by leading a rosary. After a full day of meeting with lawmakers and observing the Senate in session, the events culminated in the 50th Annual Red Mass of the Holy Spirit at the Co-Cathedral of St. Thomas More.
