The Associate for Social Concerns and Respect Life (ASC/RL) serves as a resource professional for the social concerns and respect life activities of the Conference including the following committees: State ProLife Coordinating Committee (SPLCC) and Social Concerns Committees (including the Prison Ministry Committee and Family Life Directors). The ASC/RL is under the supervision, works closely with and reports on all activities to the executive director. The ASC/RL advocates social justice and respect life issues before state and federal agencies; coordinates with various Catholic and other advocacy groups; monitors and participates in the state legislative budget process; and directs various lobbying and statewide Conference projects as assigned by the executive director.

The Associate (or Associate Director) for Health (AH) serves the bishops and Catholic health care leaders in the state as a professional resource person on matters related to health care. The AH advocates on behalf of the Church and Catholic health care ministry in legislative, regulatory and other public policy proposals with particular attention to ethical and moral issues. The AH keeps the bishops of Florida apprised of ongoing health care activities in the state and keeps abreast of the perspective of the state Catholic health care leaders, utilizing them as a resource in accomplishing the work of this position. The AH is responsible for direct liaison and communication with Catholic health organizations of Florida, as well as state health associations to which they belong. The AH is under the direction of and responsible to the Executive Director.
